Hemdi is an Egyptian restaurant located in Jeddah. Axis Interior managed to convey a modern representation of ancient Egypt and using that period of time as an inspiration for the design of the restaurant. The dominant colors are gold and blue as they both were strongly adopted by the pharaohs back in the days. The gold represented eternity and indestructibility while the blue represented water (the Nile) and power of creation. Those two colors are carried out through the design to translate those meanings and give the restaurant an authentic atmosphere. In association to that, Axis Interior incorporated the Egyptian hieroglyphic writing as a decorative element to add emphasis on selected zones.
